Jeremy Brennan aka Leatherman Jersey is the founder of The HIDE, Sydney’s popular leather & fetish social. Now into it’s second year, The HIDE has helped to reenergize Sydney’s leather and fetish scene as a meeting point for BLUF men, full fetish lovers and the wider leather community, while particularly encouraging newcomers to the scene.Jersey has also been able to use The HIDE as a forum for raising the profile of local fetish businesses by supporting home-grown enterprises connected to the leather community. Jersey is proud to be a BLUF member, and a regular rider with Boys On Bikes in the Mardi Gras parade.

He has shown a long term commitment to participating and contributing to the broader LGBTI+ community over the years by donating his time as Entertainment Consultant to the Aurora Foundation’s annual Ball at Sydney Town Hall, as a performer/musician at numerous Mardi Gras events, and also as event coordinator or performer for a multitude of community fundraisers.

As a musician and cabaret performer, Jersey is one of the country’s top practitioners having toured in shows with Tina Arena, Paul Capsis, Matthew Mitcham and New York cabaret icon Joey Arias, and you can currently see him on national television most weeks (in his leathers!) as the resident songwriter and pianist for Channel Ten’s ‘Show Me The Movie’ hosted by Rove McManus.

Laird Leatherman 2017

James is Laird Leatherman 2017. He moved to Melbourne in 2016 and, inspired by the men of the Laird, became an artist who drew inspiration from leather, fetish, and the hanky code. During his title year as Laird Leatherman 2017, he raised money and awareness for Positive Women Victoria, Australia’s only community based organisation dedicated to supporting women living with HIV. During his year, James enjoyed being part of the judging panel for several local competitions, and is very excited to be part of the Australian Leatherman team as Tallymaster this year.  and fantasies in many cities”
